NBT Fest 2025: A Free Family Festival in Nottingham

This weekend, Nottingham came alive with colour, music and laughter at NBT Fest – a free family festival celebrating the joy of children’s activities. Families from across the city gathered for a day of connection, community and fun, proving once again why Nottingham is such a special place to raise children.

With over 40 free family activities on offer, children had the chance to explore everything from crafts and sensory play, to messy play, circus skills, inflatables, rides and even a creative water play zone. Parents could browse the buzzing Cool Mums Club craft market, while everyone enjoyed delicious food including Indian street food, gluten-free pizza, cookies, cakes and ice cream. It was the perfect mix of entertainment and community spirit.

The Main Stage Magic 

The main stage was the heart of the festival, featuring an exciting line-up of performances for children of all ages. Families enjoyed Baby Ballet, a princess singalong, a guest DJ set, a foam party… and of course, Baby Sparks.

Our performance was one of the day’s highlights. For 30 minutes, Helen and Kat, with Sparky joining also (of course) led what felt like hundreds of families through dancing, singing, jumping and shaking maracas. Children giggled, parents joined in, and the crowd became one huge singalong. The atmosphere was electric — so full of energy that we could easily have performed all day!
