On 22nd January, the Baby Sparks franchise network came together for our annual Franchise Conference – a day dedicated to learning, celebration and connection across our growing community of baby and toddler class providers.
For many of our franchisees, running their own Baby Sparks business means balancing classes, marketing, family life and community engagement. Taking time out to come together as a network is an important opportunity to reflect on the year behind us and build excitement for the year ahead.
The day was fully funded by Baby Sparks Head Office, ensuring every franchisee could attend without additional cost. With great food, endless tea and coffee, and plenty of laughter, the conference created space for learning, collaboration and celebration.
Expanding Our Offering: Supporting Families from Birth to Five
A key theme of the conference was strengthening the Baby Sparks franchise offering and expanding the ways our franchisees can support families throughout the early years.
CPD Accredited Baby Massage Training
One of the most exciting updates shared with the network was the launch of our CPD-accredited Baby Massage course.
This qualification now allows Baby Sparks franchisees to train through our own in-house programme while gaining a nationally recognised certification. This represents an important step forward for the brand, strengthening both the professionalism of our training and the opportunities available to franchisees.
As part of our Franchisee Support Programme, franchisees who do not yet hold a baby massage qualification will now be encouraged to complete the training through Baby Sparks and incorporate baby massage courses into their business plans for the year ahead.
This ensures that more families across the UK can access nurturing, connection-led baby massage courses delivered by trained Baby Sparks practitioners.
Introducing the Little Roots Newborn Course
Franchisees were also introduced to Little Roots, our brand-new newborn course designed specifically for families in the earliest weeks after birth.
Little Roots supports parents with:
gentle sensory experiences for newborn babies
understanding early development
building confidence in the early weeks of parenting
creating calm, connection-led moments with their baby
For franchisees, the programme opens up an exciting opportunity to support brand-new parents from the very beginning of their journey, extending the Baby Sparks experience even earlier than our traditional sensory classes.
Stay & Play: Expanding the Age Range
Alongside Little Roots, we also introduced our new Stay & Play provision, which allows franchisees to reach families with children up to five years old.
This provides a more relaxed, community-focused play environment while still maintaining the playful learning ethos that Baby Sparks is known for.
Together, these initiatives allow franchisees to diversify their income streams while expanding their reach to families across the entire early years age range – from birth to five years old.
Celebrating the Strengths of Our Franchise Network
Throughout the day we also celebrated the incredible achievements of our franchisees.
Rather than focusing solely on numbers or business growth, the awards recognised the unique strengths each franchisee brings to the network — from creativity and innovation to community building and leadership.
Every franchisee received recognition for the qualities that make their businesses special and for the impact they have within their local communities.
Alongside these personalised awards, we also presented our overall network awards.
Baby Sparks Franchise Awards 2025
Franchisee of the Year: Katie – Baby Sparks Mansfield and Surrounding Areas
Rising Star Award: Becky - Baby Sparks Cheshire East
Innovator Award: Ashleigh - Baby Sparks Loughborough and Burton
These awards recognised the outstanding contributions made by franchisees over the past year and highlighted the passion, creativity and dedication that continues to drive the Baby Sparks network forward.
An Afternoon of Creativity (and Plenty of Laughter)
The afternoon took a slightly different tone as franchisees came together to create social media content for the year ahead.
From filming reels and capturing photographs to brainstorming ideas and sharing inspiration, the room was filled with creativity, energy and plenty of laughter.
It was a chance to step away from the pressure of day-to-day posting and instead create content together in a relaxed and supportive environment.
A Network Built on Support
One of the things that makes the Baby Sparks franchise unique is the sense of community and collaboration across the network.
While each franchisee runs their own independent business within their territory, they are never doing it alone.
Events like our annual conference reinforce that sense of connection and ensure every franchisee feels supported, valued and inspired as they grow their business.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As the day came to a close, the overwhelming feeling in the room was one of excitement and renewed energy for the year ahead.
With new programmes launching, additional training opportunities available and a network of passionate franchisees supporting families across the UK, 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Baby Sparks.
Most importantly, the conference reminded us why we do what we do: supporting parents, nurturing babies and creating meaningful early experiences that families will remember for years to come.
