Last weekend, Baby Sparks joined the electric atmosphere of Nottingham’s Splendour Festival at Wollaton Park – and what a weekend it was! Nestled among vibrant stages, delicious food stalls, colourful tents, and fairground rides, we had a front-row spot in the Little Splendours area, where festival magic met creative play, brilliant activity providers, and thousands of bubbles. It was the perfect stage for Nottingham’s buzzing children’s activity community to shine, connect, and share joy with the wonderful families of Nottinghamshire.

What Baby Sparks Sensory Got Up To
Sensory Play
We created a safe, calming haven for families to explore our sensory toys and engaging set-ups – a cosy retreat from the crowds (and the occasional downpour!). Many parents took a moment to connect, chat, and simply pause with their little ones in our welcoming space.
Bubbles and Ribbons Galore - Our bubble machines were rarely off! We saw babies, toddlers and even a few grown-ups dancing, jumping and spinning to the beats from the main stage – all in a safe, playful zone away from the bustle.
Family Connection - We met so many brilliant families, shared Baby Sparks stories, and chatted about the magic of purposeful play. One of our favourite moments? Seeing little ones who used to attend our baby classes now walking, talking and proudly showing off their glitter-painted faces. We LOVED catching up and hearing, “Remember me?”
We Also Caught the Vibes 🕺
If you follow us on socials, you’ll already know… we danced – a lot! From Clean Bandit and Natasha Bedingfield on Saturday to The Fratellis and the incredible Sophie Ellis-Bextor on Sunday, the live music didn’t disappoint. There’s just something about dancing like no one’s watching and belting out your favourite lyrics – we made the most of every beat.
Why We Loved Being There
Our People - We loved chatting with our ideal audience – families with babies and toddlers, right in the heart of the action.
Real-Time Play - It was so special to show, not just tell, what Baby Sparks is all about. Sensory play, connection, and joyful movement – right there in the moment.
Community Vibes - From future class sign-ups to heartwarming chats and Instagram tags, the whole experience reminded us that we’re nothing without our community. We also loved catching up with our fellow activity providers – the local children’s sector really turned up and showed off the best of what we do.
Same Time Next Year? Yes Please!
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, played, danced, and connected with us. And a massive shoutout to the incredible Rebekah from the Nottingham Baby and Toddler Community, the creative powerhouse behind the whole Little Splendours area. Her vision, energy and care brought it all to life – she’s nothing short of legendary!
