Hi, I’m Katie, the proud owner of Baby Sparks Mansfield & Surrounding Areas!
I’m mum to two wonderful boys, Henry (born November 2018) and Jude (born October 2022). Before launching Baby Sparks, I spent over 15 years working as a qualified Key Stage 2 teacher. However, once I became a mum myself, I discovered a real passion for early years development and supporting children in those precious first years of life. With my second child, that passion grew into a love for sensory play and understanding how these experiences can support babies’ and toddlers’ growth, learning and development.
I first discovered Baby Sparks when another activity class leader recommended it to me. Henry was just six weeks old when we attended our very first class! I instantly fell in love with the music, the energy, the creative themes and the thoughtful explanations behind every sensory activity. It quickly became the highlight of our week, and I was so excited to return again with Jude a few years later. Our favourite part? Always the parachute and bubbles!

More than just a baby class
Now, I’m thrilled to be running Baby Sparks classes myself: creating a warm and welcoming space where parents and little ones can bond, play and grow together. My classes are designed to give you meaningful quality time with your baby, while also surrounding you with a supportive community of parents who truly understand the ups and downs of parenthood. It’s a friendly, judgement-free environment where you can relax, enjoy the moment and know that you’re never alone.
You’ll find me running sensory classes across Hucknall, Ollerton, Ravenshead and Mansfield, as well as Tiny Sparks Baby Massage sessions in Edwinstowe.
