Hi everyone, I’m Nicola, the proud and very excited owner of Baby Sparks Ashfields and Alfreton!
In October 2023, my partner and I were lucky enough to welcome our (now completely crazy) bundle of joy into the world — our little Jaxon. We started attending Baby Sparks when Jaxon was just 9 weeks old, and it truly helped me navigate the (often overwhelming!) journey of being a first-time mum. Each week I could see how much Jaxon was enjoying the classes — and I was too. They gave me a reason to get out of the house, offered a supportive and open space to meet other new parents, and helped me regain a sense of “normal” through real adult conversation. Baby Sparks helped build my confidence to go out alone with my baby, supported Jaxon’s development, and even brought lifelong friendships into our lives.
Fast forward to October 2024, after a year of maternity leave, I realised I couldn’t face going back to the 9–5 and spending so little time with our son. When the opportunity came up to join Baby Sparks, I couldn’t stop thinking about how amazing it would be to create the same warm, welcoming experience I had — for other families. And so, the journey began… and “Sparky Nic” was born!
